Stylish & Functional Homeschool Class Room

I hope everyone had a fantastic summer. We have completed our 1st week of school. If you follow me on IG, you may have seen my classroom refresh. If this is your 1st time here, welcome, and I hope you love it here!
As a homeschooler, there are many challenges, and space was a big issue for us. Creating a functional schoolroom with limited space can be difficult. I converted the landing space between our bedrooms into our homeschool room. We initially started with just a foldable plastic table and a few posters. As Aria grew, so did the need for more space and organization.
So, I folded up the plastic table and got two new desks last year. I created areas for reading, messy art projects, and schoolwork. This change made our experience more accessible, but it was still missing something. We had work done, and during the process, a wall needed to open up. Then the idea of making that wall into shelving was born! Now, that made the space even more functional. Then I realized our entire room needed a refresh, and It all started with this clock. After moving on from the foldable table, things were moving in the right direction. Finally, we had clear zones and a bit more storage. But I didn't know then how much our little space could genuinely provide.

The wall that Aria's desk used to be up against is now a bookshelf! I am still considering whether or not to paint it white. What do you think?
I also painted the back wall with chalkboard paint. I considered hanging an actual blackboard. But ultimately, the black wall gives the space more depth and functionality. Plus, it made the perfect spot for our solar system decals!
My favorite item on the shelf is our propagation station. We are currently propagating a prayer plant, watermelon begonia, and an anthurium.
